CVS Health is cutting 5,000 jobs to reduce costs as the retail pharmacy giant furthers its push into health-care offerings, a person familiar with the matter told CNBC on Tuesday. The pharmacy chain had about 300,000 employees in the U.S. at the end of last year, according to a securities filing.
