U.S. businesses expect inflation pressures to ease slightly over the coming year, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta's latest survey, offering another modest sign that cost expectations are cooling. Year-ahead business inflation expectations fell to 2.3% in October from 2.4% in September, according to the Atlanta Fed's Business Inflation Expectations survey.
