Harris Teeter has already shut down six locations across Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina since July 2025 – with another North Carolina location set to close on or before April 17. The wave of closures comes as the grocery chain’s parent company, Kroger, announced plans to shut down 60 underperforming locations by December 2026.
