One of America's oldest beers is going out of production after more than 170 years, with one brewmaster planning a grand sendoff for the brand. Schlitz, which was founded in Milwaukee in 1849 and sold to Pabst in 1999, is being discontinued. Pabst confirmed the sad news to Milwaukee Magazine last week.
